증상
혼다 2000년형 발라드 VTEC가 시동이 걸리지 않음. 아침에는 한 번의 크랭크로 시동이 걸리지만, 운전 후 시동을 끄고 다시 시동하려고 하면 시동이 걸리지 않음. 스타터의 양극 커넥터에서 스타터 와이어 연결 부위로 점프 와이어를 연결하면 시동이 걸림.
처리 내용
스타터 솔레노이드 불량으로 보임. 스타터 솔레노이드는 두 부분으로 구성되어 있으며, 점화 스위치에서 신호를 받아 자석이 활성화될 때 다른 회로를 닫아줌. 자석이 활성화되면 배터리의 전류가 스타터로 흐르게 되어 엔진을 회전시킴. 증상으로 보아 수동으로 와이어를 연결하여 시동이 걸린다는 것은 스타터 자체는 정상이라는 의미이므로, 스타터 솔레노이드 또는 점화 스위치에 문제가 있을 가능성이 높음. 정확한 진단을 위해서는 추가 정보가 필요하지만 이 두 부품을 먼저 점검하는 것을 권장함.

With the untimely death of my daily Ford Focus Estate Titanium X recently it was time to find a new daily. For those who have followed my previous MX-5 thread, you may remember that I was considering purchasing a new car for some time. The arrival of my son hadn't forced my hand per-se (we have another family car), but with the MX-5 being a two-seater, it's become such a lonely car.
