alorotom said: Looks tidy enough and im surprised its escaped the destiny of council estate chav-dom or driftworx I had a look at the Camry mentioned in the prose and have to say - id prefer that, with the lovely pushy velour! What I wrong with Council Estates and cars that come from them. You should look at the cars history, condition, owner and then appraise the vehicle. Many people I know that live on Council Estates understand the importance of car maintenance and more importantly preventative maintenance and care for their cars accordingly. Whereas those living in large leafy houses see
The bushes that usually cause instability under braking are the lollipop bushes, these are cheap and often go every few years. I would use them as a bargaining point but not a deal stopper at all. More concerning would be if any EML lights are on, or the bulbs removed (there are two)., several sensors can go over time or air leaks occur, and cam cover and oil filter housing gaskets leak. Check the radiator for sagging. Nothing too expensive to fix really. Also I've only heard of one E46 c cyl. petrol dual mass flywheel going ever, in quite a few years on the E46 forums, they just don't get the punishment they do on Diesels as the M54 is a smooth engine without peaky torque. The only thing I'd worry about is fault codes, drivability problems (clunks, knocks etc from the prop shaft, not crazy money to fix) check engine lights missing and rust - rear brake pipes and wheel arches. Window regulators not an expensive fix I don't think and could be used as a haggling point if it happens.E46s have a lovely charm about them, enough tech. to be comfortable but analogue enough to be fun, nice looks and nice 6 cyl. engines.Fitting Powerflex purple lollipop bushes, knocking out the front camber pins and adding a bit of negative camber makes the steering sharper and much nimbler feeling. You can also slot (enlarge) the camber holes to get to around 2 degrees negative front camber, and dial the rear camber back to around 1.8 - 2 degree to make a more neutral handling car than is more fun to drive, but not too tail happy either (and DSC helps avoid any serious issues but you have to really throw them around to make DSC kick in with decent tyres anyway).Edited by Turkey on Sunday 28th February 15:21

Anyone else feel like driving at night is getting worse now thanks to modern cars and their collapsed suns blinding everyone?Landrovers are bad for it but that's also because they're higher up, still no excuse it's like they're always on full beam. BMW's as well, everytime I now pass a new one I can bearly bloody see.Sometimes I flash them as I think to myself they definitley have their full beams on, only for them to flash me back and illuminate the whole fking county
