E85는 에탄올 85%와 휘발유 최소 15%의 혼합유입니다. 주유소 펌프에 'E85'로 표시되어 있으며, 일반 휘발유보다 저렴한 경우가 많습니다. 펌프에는 보통 큰 경고 스티커가 붙어 있습니다. E85의 주요 문제는 공연비(stoichiometric ratio)가 일반 휘발유와 다릅니다. 일반 휘발유는 약 14.7:1의 공기/연료비가 필요하지만, E85는 약 9:1입니다. E85용으로 설정되지 않은 엔진(잔디깎이기 포함)에서 사용하면 극단적으로 희박하게 연소되어 엔진 손상을 초래할 수 있습니다. 이것이 제조사에서 E85 사용을 금지하는 이유입니다. 일반 주유소에서 판매하는 일반 휘발유(레귤러 가솔린)를 사용하면 문제가 없습니다.

Its utterly pointless if you think about it, extra legislation and checks for a mode of propulsion that will die out anyway in a few years.There is a ban looming for combustion engines, electric cars are getting more popular and the downsides are being ironed out.Maybe just enforce whats already there better ? Didnt people vote out of the EU due to this kind of meddling ?I wouldnt say its "pointless" doing anything because India and China dont bother, its a global thing but its mainly our local air quality and really, those countries will need to see someone else doing stuff so they perhaps re
