매우 심각한 안전 문제입니다. 브레이크 액은 시간이 지나면서 수분을 흡수하고 축적됩니다. 특히 산악 지역 주행 시처럼 브레이크를 많이 사용할 때 액이 고온이 되면서 수분이 증발하여 에어 록(vapor lock)이 발생할 수 있습니다. 이 경우 페달 압력이 급격히 떨어져 브레이킹 성능이 상실됩니다. 또한 시스템 내 수분은 파이프와 실린더 등을 부식시켜 약화시킵니다. 제조사 권장 교체 주기(2년)를 지키지 않으면 매우 위험한 상황이 발생할 수 있습니다. 브레이크 시스템에 이중 안전 설계(redundancy)가 있지만, 이것을 과신해서는 안 됩니다. 다른 부분도 예고 없이 손상될 수 있기 때문입니다. 브레이크 액은 저렴하므로 즉시 전체 브레이크 시스템을 점검하고 신품 액(DOT4, DOT5.1 등 비실리콘 액 기준)으로 완전히 교체하시기 바랍니다.

Many moons ago I owned a 156 SW V6 that I bought by accident but really should not have sold. 156 V6 It was a car that absolutely adored the noise and looks but that I never really trusted for main family car duties.
