증상
2009 TSX의 타이어 한 개가 30일마다 20psi로 내려감. 여러 점검(할인 타이어샵, 딜러 2회 방문)에서도 누수를 찾지 못했으나, 3번째 정비소에서 타이어에 박힌 못을 발견. 70psi 침수 테스트에서도 못이 눈에 띄지 않아 거의 놓칠 뻔함.
처리 내용
타이어와 림 사이의 불완전한 밀착이 원인일 가능성이 높음. 알루미늄 합금의 경미한 부식으로 인해 거친 표면이 생겨 공기가 천천히 새는 현상. 기포 테스트에서는 월 10psi 정도만 손실되어 감지되지 않을 수 있음. 해결책: 타이어를 제거한 후 림의 가장자리에 실링 컴파운드(밀착제)를 얇게 발라 다시 장착하여 거친 표면을 메우고 밀착성 개선. 타이어 제거 시 림의 비드 접촉면(beading surface)을 깨끗이 청소하여 표면을 부드럽게 하고 축적된 먼지나 부식물 제거.

Friday and the first time I'm out for a drive by myself. BBB was hanging with the famalam in Hereford and then meeting me at the narrow boats down in Llangattock, so I was exploring South Wales via all the two lane B roads I could find.
