I'm very observant when driving or walking, the other day I walked my son to school alongside a busy road, I reckon 80% of the cars that passed me were looking down at phones. I had a van pull out on me on a roundabout a few months ago and then slam his brakes on, phone clearly visible so I submitted the footage to TVP and to my surprise they sent me a letter confirming a prosecution. The amount of times I've had to swerve recently because of cars swerving onto my side of the road is diabolical.
R0G said: Can anyone explain thisIt has been proven that using a communication device when driving causes distraction from the task of drivingDriving with one hand on the wheel but under full control is safeSo why is a conversation using hands held different to the conversation using hands free?To me it defies logic and common senseDriving with one hand on the wheel gives you less control than driving with two hands on the wheel. Driving with one hand on the wheel whilst holding something to your ear gives you even less control. (And then add in the distraction element). As I mentioned earlier, if you have something in your hand and clamped to your ear and something serious happens there’s a delay before you’re in full control of the car.

havoc said: fk me, really?...so the law is on the side of people that can't work out that cars in front of them sitting away from the kerb with their brake lights on MIGHT just be waiting for the road to be clear?!? (Had something very similar just 30 minutes ago - row of parked cars my side, car in front waiting for oncoming traffic, but I hung back ~1.5 to 2 car lengths just to give me some wiggle room, sitting with my brake lights on and at least 2ft from the kerb. Dumbfk in a new Volvo comes steaming up past me before looking past the end of his nose and seeing that there's a car coming

Got a manual Mk 7.5 Gti for the boy last week although I’ve been the one driving it at every opportunity so far. It’s a fantastic thing that handles, brakes and steers in the most engaging way with the engine having both torque and revs.Exterior compared to the Mk 8 is actually very similar and I still find it hard to spot the difference. Interior I much prefer of course although there is more hard plastic than I was expecting. I think the Audi S3, pre 2024 to avoid driving aids, would be the upgrade although you then lose the manual.Have they fixed the non draining fuel filler compartment wit
