증상
고도 8,000피트(Yellowstone)에서 타이어를 권장 냉간 압력 30 PSI로 공기를 넣었는데, 고도 4,000피트(Big Timber)로 이동한 다음 날 아침 측정 시 26 PSI로 표시됨. 천천한 공기 누출인지, 아니면 대기압 변화 때문인지 확인 필요.
처리 내용
이것은 공기 누출이 아니라 대기압 변화 때문입니다. 타이어는 휠에 장착되면 밀폐된 압력실을 형성하여 내부 공기 분자의 양은 유지됩니다. 타이어 압력계는 주변 대기압을 기준으로 게이지 압력(게이지 압력 = 절대 압력 - 대기압)을 측정합니다. 고도가 높을수록 대기압이 낮아지므로 같은 양의 공기를 가지고 있어도 게이지 압력 수치는 더 높게 표시됩니다. Yellowstone(8,000피트)의 낮은 대기압에서 30 PSI로 설정한 타이어가 Big Timber(4,000피트)의 높은 대기압으로 내려가면 게이지 압력이 약 2-3 PSI 낮아져 26 PSI로 표시되는 것이 정상입니다. 타이어 손상이 의심되지 않는다면 추가 공기 누출 점검은 불필요합니다.

Friday and the first time I'm out for a drive by myself. BBB was hanging with the famalam in Hereford and then meeting me at the narrow boats down in Llangattock, so I was exploring South Wales via all the two lane B roads I could find.
